They do not biodegrade; they photodegrade, meaning that over time, they break down into smaller, more toxic petropolymers. Less than 1% of plastic bags are recycled, and it costs more to recycle a plastic bag than to produce a new one. These reusable Sandwich and Snack Packs made from 100% cotton, lined with leak-resistant nylon (BPA-, lead-, and phthalate-free), and secured with Velcro closures are the perfect alternative. Each pack comes with a Sandwich size (approx. 7.5″ × 6″) and a Snack size (6″ × 5″). They can be machine-washed and dried, washed in the dishwasher, or for the longest life, simply wiped clean with a soapy sponge and air dried.
